College Students: It's Time to Talk About More Than Just Marks
In college, it's easy to get caught up in the rat race of getting good grades. After all, that's what we're told is important. But what happens when we forget about the things that really matter?
Hey! everyone my name is Danish , currently I'm pursuing a B.Tech. CSE , and I've noticed that a lot of my peers are only interested in discussing marks. They're always asking each other how much they got on the Physics lab, sessional and all and they seem to think that marks are the only thing that matters.
I don't think this is a healthy attitude. Marks are important, of course, but they're not the only thing that matters. What's more important is learning and growing as a person.
We should be more interested in discussing the latest tech, innovation, ideas, and projects. We should focus on learn about what's happening in the world, How AI is changing the Every thing.I think it's important for college students to focus on more than just marks. We should be learning and growing as people, and we should be sharing our ideas with others.
Here are a few reasons why college students should focus on more than just marks:
*Marks are not a measure of intelligence:- Marks can be affected by a number of factors, including test-taking skills, time management, and even luck. They are not a true measure of a person's intelligence or potential.
Marks do not guarantee success:- There are many successful people who did not get good grades in college. In fact, some of the most successful people in the world dropped out of college altogether.
Marks can be stressful:- Constantly worrying about getting good grades can lead to stress, anxiety, and even depression. It's important to find a balance between studying and enjoying your college experience.
So, what can we do to focus on more than just marks in college?
Here are the things we should focus on
Find your passion:- What are you interested in? What do you want to learn more about? Once you find your passion, focus on learning and growing in that area.
Get involved in extracurricular activities:- Extracurricular activities are a great way to learn new skills, meet new people, and have fun. They can also help you develop your leadership and teamwork skills.
Network with people in your field:- Networking is a great way to learn about job opportunities and to get your foot in the door. Attend industry events, connect with people on LinkedIn, and reach out to people who are already working in your field.
Don't be afraid to fail:- Failure is a part of life. It's important to learn from your mistakes and to keep moving forward. Don't let the fear of failure hold you back from pursuing your dreams.
Develop your problem-solving skills:- Computer science is all about solving problems. The better you are at solving problems, the more successful you will be in your career more highest package industry will provide you.
Learn to code:- Coding is the language of computer science. If you want to be a successful computer scientist, you need to learn to code.
Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies:- The field of computer science is constantly evolving. It's important to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies so that you can be a valuable asset to your employer.
Be creative:- Computer science is a creative field. The best computer scientists are able to come up with new and innovative solutions to problems.
Be passionate:- If you're not passionate about computer science, it will be difficult to succeed in the field. Find something about computer science that you're passionate about and focus on that it can be anything like web development, app development, AI, competitive programming etc.
Set realistic goals. Don't try to do everything at once. Set small, achievable goals for yourself and work your way up to bigger goals.
Don't be afraid to ask for help. There are many people who are willing to help you succeed. Don't be afraid to ask for help fromWhat are you interested in? What do you want to learn more about? Once you find your passion, focus on learning and growing in that area.

Build your portfolio*:-* Hackathon projects can be a great addition to your portfolio and can help you stand out to potential employers.
College is a time to learn and grow. It's a time to explore your interests, to meet new people, and to figure out what you want to do with your life. Don't get caught up in the rat race of getting good grades. Focus on more than just marks and you'll be much more likely to succeed in college and in life.
